Lining Royal Oaks Drive – UPDATE

Update 7/11 at 12:30pm.

Father will be leaving at approx 3pm.  We suggest meeting in the Church to pray between 2-2:30.  Then we will head out to Royal Oaks once they alert us.

Lining Royal Oaks Drive to say goodbye to Fr. Cassidy

All are Invited to meet at 1pm in the Church

Tomorrow, July 11th in the afternoon we will gather to line Royal Oaks Drive and hold a banner that says “We Love You Father Cassidy”. We will wave to him as he leaves with his family to the airport for their journey back to Ireland.

Originally we announced we would meet at 3pm. It appears that Fr. Cassidy may be leaving earlier around 2pm. We suggest that everyone arrive around 1pm and meet in the church were we can silently pray in front of the Blessed Sacrament. The rectory will let us know when Father is getting ready to leave and we can then head out to the Royals Oaks Drive to wave to him. Be sure and wear green!

Please check the Immaculate Conception website for the most current updates in case there are any changes in timing.

Video Message from Fr Cassidy

A Spiritual Bouquet for Father Cassidy

Dear Immaculate Conception Community,

As you know, Fr. Cassidy has been fighting cancer for some time now. He has decided it is time to move back to Ireland so he can be with his family. He will be leaving this Monday, July 11, 2016.

He has been such an important part of our IC Community for so many years and we know that many of you will want to show him your love and support.

We invite you to join us in a special Spiritual Bouquet for Father. This Spiritual Bouquet is our way, as a community, of lifting Father up in prayer and allowing our prayers to help carry him back to Ireland.

How can you participate?

Simply pray for the intentions of Father Cassidy and share that Spiritual Bouquet with him. You can pray any prayer form (for example: Meditation, pray the Rosary, recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet, spend time in front of the Blessed Sacrament, Offer your Masses etc.) After you have prayed, you can share this bouquet with him. To share with him, please  Click here

Father will be able to see a list of all the people praying for him even when he is in Ireland.

As you can imagine it is going to be hard for him to say goodbye to everyone. It is suggested that we can send cards and notes to say our goodbyes. The notes can be dropped off at the rectory. At this time, it is very hard for Father to take calls or have visitors. Thank you for your understanding.

As a special way to show our support for Fr. Cassidy, we invite you to wear green at all the masses this weekend. If you would like to gather to pray for Father Cassidy, you are invited to join Bishop David O’Connell & Fr. Randy, for the 8am Mass this Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Immaculate Conception. Please note – Father Cassidy will not be in attendance.

Thank you, dear IC Family, for your love and support of Father Cassidy.

In Jesus’ love,

The Immaculate Conception Meditation Group

Aviso importante: El Padre Cassidy no estará presente.
